A country store on Virginia Avenue, Clarksville, Virginia

Grandfather’s Country Creations sits inside a historic brick building on Virginia Avenue, in the heart of Clarksville. It is the kind of store you slow down in — primitive antiques on one shelf, a wall of candles on another, and wreaths hanging wherever there is room for them.

What you’ll find inside

A carefully curated mix of rustic home décor, seasonal accents and handcrafted pieces, all under one roof:

• Handcrafted wreaths — each one a one-of-a-kind creation, built here in the shop. Seasonal wildflowers, lemons, sunflowers, geraniums and lush greenery, on grapevine bases.
• Primitive antiques — the honest, well-worn kind, chosen one piece at a time.
• Milkhouse Candle Co. — an extensive collection of their soy candles and fragrances.
• Garden flags and seasonal décor — rotated through the year, so the floor is never quite the same twice.

Made here, by hand

The wreaths are the heart of the shop. They are assembled on site rather than ordered in, which is why no two are alike and why the selection changes with the season. If you want one built for a particular door, colour or occasion, we can do that — just ask.
